It is all over the news that energy drinks can cause caffeine intoxication, researchers recently discovered.
This is what was said in the news: -
Dr. Roland Griffiths wrote in the journal „Drug and Alcohol Dependence”that the drinks should carry warning labels, displaying the caffeine content and also the possible health risks that include nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, rapid heartbeat and tremors.
The energy drinks that contain caffeine are marketed as supplementary (and not soft) drinks, therefore they are neither required to comply with the United States Food and Drug Administration’s maximum caffeine content for soda and other beverages (71 milligrams per 12-ounce can), nor compelled to label it.
Unfortunately, they are continuously targeted at teens and young adults, who are easily impressionable and completely unaware of the dangers.
Energy Drinks: Caffeine Content
Griffiths and his colleagues contacted more than two dozen makers of energy drinks, asking for caffeine content. Here are some of the findings:
(The caffeine content is in milligrams per serving. Although serving sizes vary, Griffiths contends that most people will drink the entire can, whatever the number of ounces.)
Red Bull: 80 milligrams per 8.3-ounce serving
Tab Energy: 95 mg per 10.5-oz serving
Monster and Rockstar: 160 mg per 16-oz serving
No Fear: 174 mg per 16-oz serving
Fixx: 500 per 20-oz serving
Wired X505: 505 mg per 24-oz serving
In comparison, according to Griffiths:
Brewed coffee: 200 milligrams per 12-oz serving
Instant coffee: 140 mg per 12-oz serving
Brewed tea: 80 mg per 12-oz serving
Mountain Dew: 54 mg per 12 oz. serving
Dr. Pepper: 41 mg per 12-oz serving
Pepsi Cola: 38 mg per 12-oz serving
Coca-Cola Classic: 34.5 mg per 12-oz serving
Canned or bottled tea: 20 mg per 12-oz serving
Some of the energy drinks have lower caffeine contents, Griffith says. Among the lower doses:
Bomba Energy has 75 mg per 8.4-oz serving
Whoop Ass has 50 mg per 8.5-oz serving

I was totally amazed when I saw this picture! A tank using balloons to make. This was so creative, I must say.
The combination of the different color balloons made it looked amazingly beautiful and unique. We must fully credit the German artist Hans Hemert who created this.
Maybe one day if I am bored, I will try to use the balloons to create something like this. I bet it is full of excitement and fun for kids.
Finally, Google T-Mobile G1 is going on sale in the U.S. on T-Mobile’s network starting October 22 for $179 with a two-year service contract which promised to rival Apple iPhone. I can’t wait for a phone to take on Apple iPhone.
The Google phone looks more happening and it is a beauty. According to the report, the Google Android software greatly improves the mobile Web experience for users, making it a compelling competitor to the Apple iPhone and a hands-down winner when compared with other smartphones like Research In Motion’s BlackBerry or phones running Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system.
It is still to early to tell at the moment that it will be a more superior phone than iPhone.
The latest People magazine cover shows Aiken holding his infant son, Parker Foster Aiken, with the headline: “Yes, I’m Gay.” The cover also has the quote: “I cannot raise a child to lie or hide things.”
Clay Aiken is finally confirming what many people already knew: He’s gay.
My heart is broken… Since his appearance in 2003 “American Idol”, I have been following his news and been a great fan of his. He has avoided answering the frequent rumors about his sexuality.
The baby’s mother is Clay’s friend and record producer Jaymes Foster.
Anyway, I will still support him because he is still a great singer. Recently, he has just release a new album “On My Way Here” and made his Broadway debut this spring in “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”
