SUSAN Boyle moved into her new £2million flat after Simon Cowell’s agents checked with the landlord that they would allow her CAT.

The Britain’s Got Talent singer has now moved into the converted convent with beloved pet Pebbles.

Show sources last night told how Susan was being “wrapped in cotton wool” to help her recover from exhaustion before the BGT live tours, which start tomorrow.

Show judge Cowell is renting the London pad for his “prized possession”, a show runner-up, but potentially worth millions, for five weeks. He’s called in FOUR limos in a bid to fool paparazzi when moving the Scot about.

But we can reveal virgin Susan, 48, has still left bosses panicking by refusing to turn up to rehearsals.

A BGT source said: “Simon is looking after his prize possession and no expense will be spared making sure she is happy in herself and well enough to perform.

“He wants her to be fully recovered from the exhaustion she suffered during Britain’s Got Talent.

“Diversity may have won the show but Susan’s the one with massive pound signs over her head. She’s being wrapped in cotton wool.”

Music supremo Cowell was told about the “idyllic and highly secure” premises by Susan’s private doctor — who treated her at The Priory clinic in London last week.

Dr Sarah Lotzof said the apartment would put the Scottish singer in a “stable and homely” environment.

Susan moved in after being told Pebbles, who she lived with back in Blackburn, West Lothian, could join her.

Other BGT tour acts will live in hotels — while Susan is ferried back to the sprawling pad whenever possible.

The star suffered an emotional breakdown after losing to dance-troupe Diversity on the ITV show’s final.

She was released from the Priory last Friday, and spent the weekend at home in West Lothian before retuning to London on Monday.

There were fears she would not be well enough to perform at the 23-date tour’s launch show in Birmingham.

But we told how she held talks about appearing in that gig and just a few dates after, to conserve her energy for recording a debut album.

But she has now thrown organisers into chaos, by not turning up to practice. A tour source said: “She was meant to be at rehearsals on Tuesday, but she cancelled.”

Finally, I have to face the truth – Adam Lambert did not win the American Idol.

I even forbid any of my family members to watch the repeat telecast of American Idol Season 8 Final Results. It was so heartbreaking to see that Adam did not win it.

Come to think about it, it is the music career that matters. I believe that both Adam and Kris will go quite far in their career.

In fact, the best moment of the show was ‘Bikini-girl’ Katrina Darnell VS Kara DioGuardi. When Katrina appeared on the stage,she seemed noticeably changed. I thought Ryan Seacrest was funny. He greeted her with a quip as she sidled up to him: “I’d ask you what’s new,” he said, “but I think I know.”

Ryan made his dislike for Darnell apparent during the season, but Darnell was having none of it. She smacked Seacrest on the lips before proclaiming, “This time you kissed back.”

Darrell was on the show to receieve a “Golden Idol” Award, given out to contestants who were exceptional for qualities other than their singing. She was honored for having the “Best Attitude.”

Whether or not Darrell got a little help to better fill out the top of her signature garment, one thing had clearly not improved since her last appearance on the show – her singing.

Judge Kara DioGuardi snuck up behind her after she began a faltering version of “Vision of Love,” proving she could far out-sing Darnell, with whom she often clashed during the regular season.

In a fitting end to the vocal throw-down, DioGuardi proved she could outmatch Darnell at her strong suit as well as the “Idol” set became the stage for a bikini competition.

DioGuardi ripped open her dress to expose her own bikini bod, before quickly covering up again.

The judge proved herself to be much more bashful about baring her figure than she is about sharing her opinions, clutching her dress shut and laughing in embarrassment.

And though the stunt was a great pay-off to the Kara-”bikini-girl” season-long catfight, it came with a price for the “Idol” producers. They had to bribe DioGuardi to take part in the stunt with a big donation to an undisclosed charity of her choice.

It was probably worth the price to have Seacrest say, “What a stomach, Kara.”

The new Montauk Monster, found on a Southold, N.Y., beach earlier this month, probably is closely related to last year’s edition, and was likely a stealthy, intelligent, night-ranging creature that may roam alarmingly close to human settlements.

The flesh of the new monster’s skull has mostly rotted off, but the beak-like snout, wide back teeth and large eye sockets indicate that it may be of the same species as the original monster, which startled beachgoers in the chic resort town of Montauk, N.Y., last summer.

Then, as now, speculation was rampant that the strange beast was a the product of genetic experimenting on Plum Island, a government biological-research facility located off Long Island’s North Fork, where this year’s animal was found.
